Western Flycatcher

Synopsis: Nests mainly west of the Cascade crest, and more locally eastward in more extensive riparian and dense lowland forests. Most notable are the records from Grant, Baker, Harney, Malheur, eastern Crook, and eastern Wheeler Counties. For purposes of this atlas project, no attempt was made to separate Cordilleran from Pacific-slope Flycatcher because of the unreliability of field identification by sight or song.
